  • Used when nail head must be decorative such as hinges and trims

Joist Hanger

  • Available bright smooth, bright barbed, bright ringed
  • Available for outdoor use as galvanized
  • Heavy gauge nail
  • Used to fasten joist hangers
  • Sizes - 1 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches

Lath

  • Used to nail lath to studs, joists or rafters
  • Blue oxide film provides corrosion resistance
  • Sizes - 1 to 1 1/2 inches

Masonry

Basic

  • Used to attach lumber to uncured concrete
  • Spiral shank
  • Sizes - 1/2 to 4 inches

Cut

  • Used to fasten lumber to masonry surfaces such as cinder block, mortar joints, and brick.
  • Tip is blunt which reduces splitting.
  • Sizes - 1 1/4 to 4 inches

Round Cap

  • Used to fasten foam insulation to masonry walls
  • Tip is fluted to prevent cracking masonry

Stub

  • Used to mount electrical boxes, conduit clamps and mesh to masonry
  • Large head
  • Sizes - 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches

Tension Pin

  • Used to fasten furring lumber, clamps and other items to concrete block, and mortar joints
  • Tempered hardened
  • Size - 1 1/8 inch

  • Used to attach burlap and other fabrics around root balls

  • Used to attach wood paneling to furring strips or wood studs
  • Ring shank for extra grip

  • Used to in pallet construction

  • Thinner than common nail

  • Used when extra holding strength is required
