Advantages
- No need to make two-stroke mixture,simply use normal gas
- Much less pollution thantwo-stroke engine
- Wider cutting area than mostelectric mowers - quicker mowing time
Disadvantages
- Need to fill and refill gas can at service station and store at home
- Heavy and unwieldy
- Noisy
- Engine oil needs maintaining
- Oil pan can be unsuitable for mowing steep terrain, especially on older models
